Keep in Mind

· Once logged into Workday, accessibility features are available to all users without the need for further configuration.

· Workday's accessibility features support users of assistive technology by offering the following capabilities:

· Enlarging text through a responsive interface that adjusts content to fit the device's screen size.

· Supporting widely-used assistive technologies such as screen readers for converting text into speech.

· Enabling keyboard navigation throughout Workday, eliminating the need for a mouse.

· Providing a high-contrast mode that enhances text visibility and color differentiation to improve legibility for all users.

Steps

1. Log into Workday using your CNetID and password.

2. Upon logging into Workday, pressing the Tab key reveals two buttons at the top of the screen: Skip to main content and Accessibility Overview. Selecting Accessibility Overview opens the Accessibility Interaction Overview, a comprehensive list that details how Workday accommodates users of assistive technology.

a. The Tab key allows navigation through interactive page elements, like links and buttons. If, after logging into Workday, the page is clicked elsewhere, pressing Tab may cycle through page elements and skip the buttons described above (Skip to main content and Accessibility Overview). To access these buttons, press Tab immediately after login, or select the browser’s address bar then press Tab to cycle to the desired options.

b. Alternatively, type Accessibility Interaction Overview into the search bar at the top of the homepage and select the suggested task to access this list.

3. The information included in the Accessibility Interaction Overview is organized alphabetically and describes accessibility tips for global UI elements; controls and components used across Workday; and specific pages and tasks.

4. It is recommended to review this overview carefully and refer back to it as needed by following the instructions provided above.
