The Team Chat Thread Summary feature uses Zoom AI Companion, Zoom's generative artificial intelligence technology, to summarize and condense your Team Chat discussions within Zoom's desktop client.

Note: This feature is not available within a meeting chat while in an active meeting.

To summarize a Team Chat using Thread Summary: 

1. Open the Zoom desktop application.
2. Select the Team Chat tab.
3. Next to the chat thread you want to summarize, select the ellipsis icon.

Additional options for this chat thread will appear.

1. Select Summarize with AI Companion. The chat thread summary will appear.
2. (Optional) Select Copy to copy the summarized content.

Note: Zoom does not use any customer audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments, or other communications-like content (such as poll results, whiteboards, and reactions) to train Zoom's or its third-party AI models.
