Data Services for Students in Residence Halls

The University offers residence hall students two services: an ethernet jack to access the wired network and phone services. Basic room data service is offered by IT Services, which provides campus technology support. There are no online or user charges for the services provided. Ethernet cables can be found at the front desk of the residence halls. If you have any questions about data service, contact IT Services.

The required network repairs will be completed in a timely manner whenever possible. However, certain repairs must be scheduled with you or an appointed representative present, since they require access to your room. Repairs should be requested by contacting Residence Life at housingtechnology@uchicago.edu.

Note: Students who use the network in violation of the Information Technology Use and Access Policy are subject to disciplinary action, including removal from the network.
