Remove Content from University Search Results

The University's website, www.uchicago.edu, employs Google Custom Search Engine (CSE), which presents search results of public content from University websites crawled by Google. The results of CSE come from only the domains listed in the Google CSE Overview. If you are responsible for content on a University website and you delete information, you may continue to see it in the search results at google.com and www.uchicago.edu.

Google continually crawls public web content, and eventually, your deleted page will be expunged from Google's index. Modified content will also be updated in Google's index. There is no way to predict how long this process will take. You can speed up the process by submitting a removal request to Google (login required).
